Hi all

1st post so please be easy on me.

I have just got into video capture and editing and am trying to find a filter to remove light glare from a window.

What i want to do is remove this bright daylight glare that is being reflected from an adjacent building on to the window so that you can see into the room.

I dont know if this is possible with premiere but i have had a mess about with the filters and cannot find one suitable to do this.

I might be wrong, but I don't think that's possible, unfortunately. Because the camera couldn't 'see' what was behind the glare, if you get what I mean.
I believe that you can only do this when you are filming by using a polarizer to filter out the glare.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

From the previous answer I think I now understand what you were originally asking and like the person who answered I do not think you will win by looking for a filter.

The point is that the information you want was simply not recorded on camera and no filter will be able to 'invent' it.

It's the same as taking a person out of a photo. Easy enough the draw a line around them and hit the 'delete' key. But you need to rebuild what should have been behind them. See what I mean?

If you still have access to the location you could go back and shoot again or maybe just shoot a background shot and composit that into the background of your clip.
