Millsy,
I am sorry that my post came across as condesending. It was in absolutely no way intended as such. I am in know way directing my frustrations at you folks. In fact I could not be anymore grateful than I already am. I was simply tring to state in a clear manner what my issues are. I am sorry you misiturperated my tone, as I respect and appreciate the fact that you perfect strangers are even giving my issue the time of Day!
I am just at work so I haven't had time to do more on the issue. I will continue to provide more info and reply promptly as possible if you all are still willing to help.
I will soon do a complete re-install and reformat if all else fails but I am unable to upgrade as I have a very limited budget.
Once again I am sorry that I came across aloof or ungrateful, cause lord knows, I hope for, but don't expect a black and white answer and all the info you have provided inso far is Most generous and appreciated!
Thanks again
Nos

Why don't you encode in segments Not a solution, but a workaround...

Hi
Yeah I thought of that, but when I tried it (by encode I guess you mean exporting to a movie/avi) it played back as black, not the segmant, the way I used to do it was to segment it down to under the limit and do it that way, then bring the avi's back into timeline to print to video, somehow this is not letting me export else when it does goes black, and when rec to vcr does the same.
???????
Thanks
