Default Covering up unwanted objects in video

Hey guys, I am having this problem, apparently i was not very careful with the details when shooting, i caught my microphone in the whole video clip itself, so was wondering how i can try covering up with the background, like adobe photoshop.

I've done this before. Let me guess - you had a shoe-mounted mic and the lens was set to it's widest setting? Result: mic in top of frame.

I got rid of it by zooming into the clip a little during editing, using the motion settings section. I lost a bit of definition, but at least it taught me about not using that mic again....
