Is there was way to delete the open recent file or recent project option once you finish a project? for example when I go to file open recent it has files from past projects. Even if I got to the folder when my footage is held and delete them the option is still there

Not sure why you would want to??

I find it very useful to quickly open a project that I was working on yesterday or the day before or whatever, without having to browse through all the folders. And once you've finished with that project, surely it's not doing any harm if it's still listed in the open recent menu. Anyway, it will be bumped off once you work on a few more projects.
