Assuming the footage is recording at the same vertical level, are there any effects that you can use to connect two video clips that are horizontional a few degrees apart?
An example would be:
Two video clips,
Clip A: Camera is aligned to a X-point on the wall
Clip B: Camera is aligned to a Y-point on the wall, 30 degrees to left of X-point

Just using effects is it possible to make it look like the camera rotated(panned) from X to Y?

You would need morphing software for that, fantamorph fi is a good and cheap morpher: "http://www.fantamorph.com/"
Based on reference points that you will have to place yourself the software calculates the difference and makes an avi out of that which you can use to "connect" your 2 clips.

Easy enough to dfo this if I underdstand you correctly. How well it turns out will depoend on how well the two clips seamless 'knit' together at the join point. i.e. was camera in exactly tyhe same position and was lighting conditions exactly the same.

Add the two clips to the your timeline onew on top of the other - doesn't matter which way round.

Use motion controls to position second clip so that it marry's up with the first one. Key frame this position and move both clips left to right using motion controls at the same speed using careful keyframes. you'll get what you're after.
