Default Capturing problems

need some help, have a realy really anoying problem on Prem Pro 2

my progect is set to 16:9, the camera is set up to record & play back in 16:9, the footage captured was recorded in 16:9

but for some reason when capturing it reverts to the non widescreen ratio

any idea's

What camera are you using? To fix, right click on the clip on the bin, select interpret footage and select the correct aspect ration.

Using a Sony VX2100

it's has worked fine before, just now it's started playing up

PS, thanks for the info on how to fix it, i have been tearing my hair out over this, owe you a bear or two, would never have known about taht function Cheers
