sorry if this is an old topic. I'm trying to capture in Premier Pro 2, footage recorded on a Sony TRV-900, either playing through camera or using Sony DSR-11 deck. Either way, the capture keeps stopping with the error "capture stopped because audio format has changed" I think the footage is recorded with 32K audio and long play. Any help to sort this out would be very much appreciated.

I don't own a Sony camcorder but I've seen similar tales of woe from other posters. The long play could well be causing a problem but the 32K audio shouldn't be a problem as that is what my Panasonic records it's audio in unless I change it up to 48K. I have no problem capturing to Premiere or any of the other packages so check the project settings which should be at 32K as default anyway. The 'format' here refers to a file type and not the capture depth (32K or 44K or 48K) so how have you connected the Sony to the computer or how have you connected the playback deck to the computer? What spec is your computer?
