Default Adobe Pre 6.0 Limit on file capture size.

Hi all

I have a hour long avi to capture in Pre 6.0.

Is there an upper file size limit because I think this may be a big one.

12 GB ???

Regards

Mike

I've had no problems capturing an hour's video from my video camera. It was a little over 12Gb (conveniently a whole MiniDV tape eh?). I'm using 6.5 though and I don't imagine it's different.

Make sure of a couple of things though...

1) make sure your disk partition is not FAT32 or you WILL have a file size limitation at the OS level; and

2) Defrag the disk first.

Select the drive in Windows Explorer. Right click and choose properties. I think the setting you want is called 'File System' - or at least it is on my laptop at work here (NT4). You want it to say NTFS.
