Default Premiere Lighting Correction Question

I just shot some outdoor footage and when I got home I realized that there was way too much light in the shot. I can't go back and reshoot. Is there a way to correct this in Premiere?

I'm using ver 6.5 BTW and just haven't gotten that deep into the books I picked up.

Thanks in advance,

Someone posted recently about this. Underexposure can be helped a fair bit, but overexposure has no easy fix. You say ‘too much light’. Well, if there’s no detail there it can’t be put in.

Don’t suppose you could attach a couple of stills showing how much light has blown your vid? Lowering contrast & brightness is the only way I know, try it.
