Thanks nash, I am using a comp named Homestead.
Not sure if others think their any good, but from searching around they were the only ones whom's templates gave websites that particular look that i got.
Thanks for all advice, I've paid google now for a sponsored add, but doesn't seem to be doing well at the present time, for every 200 or so times my add is shown to people whom put in the works such as Montage, only roughly 5 people will actually click into my site.
I take this is because most people don't even look at the sponsored sites!

My experience is that sponsored ads don't work (didn't for me).
Look a your site and get key words and metatags in. Make sure googlebots return every day I use something like: <meta NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="INDEX, FOLLOW"> <meta NAME="REVISIT-AFTER" CONTENT="1 DAYS"> <meta NAME="RATING" CONTENT="GENERAL"> That gets googlebots back each day and keeps the site current in google. Be careful though Google change there formula regularly and if they think you are "cheating" they will bounce your site so it never gets returned in a search. Good luck.............Neil |

are you meaning to just put key words in your page titles & through out the site,
actually i really have no idea what your saying about metatags.
And googlebots, are these little critters that check peoples sites for interest etc,
you can see i obviously have no idea on this type of thing!
What is this, where do i put it, and what should i type-
<meta NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="INDEX, FOLLOW">
<meta NAME="REVISIT-AFTER" CONTENT="1 DAYS">
<meta NAME="RATING" CONTENT="GENERAL">
As you can see, i think i need more than some luck!

Hi John,
OK, Metatags are strings of data built into the HTML code of your site that allow search engines (Google, Alta Vista, Jeeves etc) to direct searchers to your site. Googlebots are "vitual critters" that search the web looking for such information.
Google changes the construct (for want of a better word) of the Bots search criteria to ensure fresh searches are always current.
The code string I posted means that Bots should read that and come back everyday to visit my site, keeping it current in the Google search engine, until they decide to block it by some other coding.
For example here is the opeing HTML code for your site
<head>
<!-- <hs:metatags> -->
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
<meta name="description" content="Photo Montage & Slideshows,
we specialize in creating beatifully created pieces for all needs.
We also specialize in Animal Montage's, aswell as trained professionals in Video Editing.
We are the most creative
At the fairest price!">
<meta name="keywords" content="Montage Video editing slideshows photo adjustments
photography collage ">
So you could insert the bots code in the mata name area of your site and it may help. I would also have a think about the words you use. Are they going to be used in google searches?
Hope that helps John
Regards...............Neil

Whats a 'mata name area of my site' to put these key words so as google bots find them,
i don't know if they fall off the roof, swim in the ocean or arrive in taxi's!
You wrote for example- here is the opening HTML code for your site- how do you know this is?
You must be right though because when i put photo montage into googles search engine,
the exact passage of writting you posted above, came up!'
Please more info, speak to me as if i don't understand anything to do with this- CAUSE I DONT
help!!

i registered my site ( www.devilgas.com) on google yonks ago. haven't tried any tricks at all to get traffic / influence ranking, just relied on updating the content regularly - not too diffiuclt when covering rugby games virtually weekly!
i have no idea of how google ranks sites, and in all reality, i don't really care as it's doing alright based on legitimate updates and crosslinks from other sites. the important thing is having non-static content that your target audience want to see. if the site changes, the bots, presumably, hit it more regular. crunching my logs, that appears to be the case.
off season it gets about 2-400 users per day, during the season, it's not unusual to see 2500+ users (not hits) per day and upwards of 2Gb of traffic per week.
oh yes, google is by far the most popular search engine going on my weblogs!!!! last week it was responsible for 95% of all search engines searches pointing punters to my site.
