Default Unwanted Horizontal lines. Prem El 2.0 + MainConcept MPEG plugin

It is essential that I can import MPEG files from DVD sources into the timeline for future projects (you know, put a disc in, copy the vob files and rename them mpg).

This enquiry is only about importing MPEGs so please don't mention firewire. DVD sources ONLY.

I need to work with PAL, 16:9 anamorphic clips using Premiere Elements 2.0 with the Main Concept MPEG Elements Plugin installed.

Last week before I bought this plug in, I was happily importing my files, enjoying lovely playback on the timeline but had juddery motion on the final DVD. On the Adobe forum soneone came to the rescue and pointed out that you solve this by reversing the field dominance on each clip. Fine.
Then I went one better and got this plugin so my stuff could look even better and thus a new problem began.

I have horizontal lines all over everything. Most noticeable all over titles (white on black).

I did about eight burn tests trying different settings and couldn't get rid of it.

Any chance any of you use Premiere Elements 2.0 with this plugin and import MPEG files from DVD sources in PAL Widescreen who may want to help me form a checklist of settings to solve it?

Is this an Interlace thing?
