Hi, I just wanna present my latest video, "Travel" single of the brand new album "Sraka "Sraka" is the last exhale before perishing. "Sraka" is the gathering of physical, cerebral and spiritual activities that precede the last great journey. When "Sraka" comes, we are suspended between two worlds, and in that very instant there is no life and there is no death, locked in a moment, mirroring eternity itself. If there is a life after death, a heaven, a hell, it dwells in the memories of...

Hello, any ffmpeg expert please who knows how to fix problem, where subtitle track in a video file merged by ffmpeg out of several video fragments, causes that video player displays subtitles right from video beginning instead when actor starts talking? Source files are OK. Detail: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffmpeg/comments/w2z881/ffmpeg_mergedconcat_output_video_subtitles_are/ Thank you

Hi, I'm looking for a software app that will let me have 2 (or more) layers and will automatically switch between them when a certain function is select (e.g. would show a different layer when paused or in reverse). I can't find anything with this function and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

You can track cameras, objects and even body parts. <span style="caret-color: rgb(51, 51, 51); color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 14.666666984558105px;"> We used a tracking area set up on the...

I previously captured my home VHS tapes using interframe codecs but found that clean cuts between clips was almost impossible. Is it plausible to use intraframe codecs for VHS to digital transfer to assist editing, before exporting with an interframe codec? Are there are downsides? Any specific intraframe codec you'd recommend for this use case?

Hey Marc, thanks for the reply. Glad to hear I'm not way off. Your system sounds just like what I had in mind, were it within my budget. I would like to use either a RAID 1 or 5 configuration, but can't afford that in addition to a high capacity off-site drive, so I'll probably just go with the above set-up. Cheers.

For your budget, that all looks entirely sensible and the physically separate back up is your ultimate rescue plan. I’m my experience, you will get drive failures and that includes SSDs. Similar to you, I work on the basis of having multiple physical copies. I start with the SSDs used for capture, which I keep until I’m confident everything is transferred. I transfer this to another SSD for editing, which is kept for the duration of the project. I also transfer all files to a RAID5 drive, which...

Digital audio and video devices have clocks in them that they use to determine when to capture an audio sample or video frame. They're generally very precise (as in a particular clock doesn't vary over time), but they're not all perfectly accurate (as in one clock might measure a second slightly differently from another clock). So if you record audio on something like a Zoom recorder and video on a camcorder, there's going to be drift. How long it takes before the drift becomes noticeable...

Going back to camcorders, from Bridge cameras, I need a Mic small enough to sit on a Panasonic cold shoe (the plug in the back type). I know the Zoom H1n has a very hissy/noisy output from the 3.5mm jack, but is the H2n the same? I'll still record it on the memory card, but it would be great if I could feed in direct into the camcorder itself.

I think any modern editor can do that as long as it can output to the format you need. Just add a black still on the timeline and set the duration of it to one frame and then render.

Hi!! So we recently shot a film using the RED Scarlet and have just begun post production. However, there is a major issue with the audio that no one seems to know how to fix: the audio will start of synced with the slate and then as the clip goes on it'll become exponentially more unsynced. We did find a somewhat solution: slowing down the audio by a few small percentages seems to do the trick, but I'd love to know if there's a better way to fix this issue/why it's happening in the first...

Hi, all! I'm looking to create a blank/mute AVI file that's just a black screen with no audio, and that's less than 1 second long, ideally 0.1 or 0.2 seconds. I'm doing this to create a simple mod, where all the unskippable intro movies in the game MVP Baseball 2005 are replaced by this short mute blank file that's only 0.1/2 seconds long. Seeing how the game plays three unskippable movies consecutively that are around ~5 seconds long, this mod would be such a relief to have. ...
