Something along those lines would be most efficient. No need for it to be a video file until you're done putting your own visual content on it.

Reaper is free to try, and the fully functional demo continues to work after the trial period, but with a 15 second nag screen. It's a DAW (digital audio workstation) with some basic video editing features. Free software that does more video editing includes Shotcut and DaVinci Resolve.

Good morning to everyone! A few days ago I had the good fortune to make a 2 day trip with a rare and unique VW model, the 1984 Volkswagen Transporter t3 or t25 camper van. The car is very well maintained, freshly painted, general service has been done, as some things have been added here and there. I do not know details since he is one of my close friends from Thessaloniki and the walk was to Develiki, Halkidiki Greece. Most of the scenes are handheld and some of them with weebill s...

Sorry, wasn't sure if you wanted the visuals out so you could put other visuals in. You might be able to open it in software like Reaper and export an audio file. I could do it in Vegas Pro, but that costs money. Most video editors could do it.

Hi there Wynn, Definitely some food for thought! I wasnt a fan of the salesman either. This was the business owner unfortunately! I very much appreciate the time you have taken to consider and write this up for me. I suppose I should be doing some more free jobs for some better portfolio pieces. I think from what youve told me I need to make target audience and marketing content a focus for future videos with a stronger who what where when and how for the structure of my videos. ...

You have received an excellent reply from Grapes but I thought a reply from another with further opinions might be of interest. I will make no comment of your query regarding payment for such a project however I agree with Grapes that a tripod would have improved some shots and also that everything would be greatly...

Hello everyone! This is my 1st official post here as I'm a newbie who's just getting into video editing. I only know some basics here & there; that's it. But I am a quick learner though. ;) Not sure if I will take up video editing in the future like as a job or whatever, but currently this is actually for a project I'm working on. Anyway, the title kind of states it all: I want to know how one would edit art/graphics out of a video that was downloaded from Youtube? 🤔 In case you were...

Hi there Grapes, First of all thanks a lot for the feedback I cant tell you how valuable it is as most local freelancers seem to be reluctant to give any info. I got 300 overall but it was only a two hour shoot and I probably spent a day and a bit on editing. It was an subcontract! Im trying to build some promotional material to approach companies with so it was valuable. I purposely didnt bring my gimbal and I havent invested in lights yet but the job was very basic. It was sunny...

For this level of work I feel 250 sounds fair or even cheap. If you'd work on the camera movement e.g. by always using a tripod or gimbal and added a bit of contrast and pop to the colourgrading, you could easily upgrade it to 400 excluding VAT (I'm assuming 250 is also ex VAT) I do hope this is just 250 for a day of shooting and that the total edit comes to around 600-700 otherwise I'd say you're undercutting the market. No matter how new you are, don't under cut the market. Sure...

Great advice from Grapes (as usual) with which I agree. Mirrorless cameras are pretty much taking over from DSLRs - especially for video - for cameras with changeable lenses, but that really is something for the future (you're not looking at just the cost of the camera, but lenses as well and once you buy into a certain manufacturer's eco system, it can be costly to change as you'd likely have to cahnage all the lenses as well etc etc.) A 12 year old won't have any problems working in...

Sorry to hear it. It's hard to diagnose this based on the picture you took of your monitor. What camera did you use to shoot this on? What software did you use to play this back in? What video editing software do you have? Are other/older videos from the same camera looking better in the same software on the same hardware as you notice this problem on?

That's a great plan. Future proof is unfortunately not something that's easily done these days, especially not on a budget but nothing is impossible and I think there's a few options especially when you are willing to go second hand. I would stay away from any DSLR at this point though. I kind of would like to say to just keep using a phone but perhaps upgrade that one to something with a more high end camera like a Huawei P30 (Or P20) Pro (Huawei has partnered with Leica for their camera stuff...

He's been saving his money and we're looking to get him a camera that will serve a few purposes: - something that does photos as well as videos (DSLR I presume) - records sound, expandable for external mic in future - fairly easy to use, but with enough features to future proof it as he gets...

Some users have problems with this, others don't. I have two of those + the "Cancel" bar in my VP 18 and VP 19. Not sure if the Render Progress Dialog problem has to do with your GPU, I have an Nvidia. You could try a free SeMW extension as a workaround. It's linked in a related thread discussion here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/render-time-estimate-gone--128273/?page=2#ca810333 Further discussion

Depends how many settings you've changed and whether you can live with losing them, but have you tried a reset (Ctrl+Shift + Roght-click on Vegas shortcut, "Open" - or something like that)? I still find Vegas the most natural/quickest for editing, but I've found it increasingly unstable and love the integration Resolve has with Fusion (and prefer the colour correction in Resolve)

Just about any vdeo software will have this capability. Hitfilm Express is but one free version that will do it. However, beware that the zooming in will massively drop quality and this will be all the more apparent with graphics/text such as a PP presentation. (What was one pixel on the screen will be 4 pixels if you zoom in to 200%)

Impossible but it is possible for some companies to track down these cut up copies and then you could have a lawyer send a cease and desist letter. Might even be possible to do that through the company that finds the fakes. YouTube already does that with music. Not sure if it will start doing it with the works from original content creators as well. In the end if audio is played it can be recorded, either directly or just indirectly with a microphone next to the speaker. Audio bootlegging...
