Thanks for all your help - and everyone else who contributed. I have now got the settings for the web using WMV - it's looking pretty good now. Here are the settings I used:

Mode: Bit rate VBR
Pixel aspect: 10926
Ave bit rate 1M
Quality: 100%

Still slight 'movement' but 100% better than before.
