The flickers are deliberate. There's quite a lot of hidden references in there.
As a teaser trailer, and not a theatrical trailer (which I will make closer to the time), I wanted to try something different. So this is almost a reference towards something not being right, and not making any scary threat obvious yet. But it's great to get these comments, I'll definately add them in in future.
