1] - No 3-D titles in Vegas - period!
2] - There are buckets of fine Wedding videographers doing it in Vegas
So, and for what youve omitted about AE, I wouldn't buy AE until I knew just what EXTRA I was wanting. If you want 3-D titles - yes? - there are plenty of, I think, plugins for 3-D text if that is what you want far cheaper than AE.

The answer is no. Vegas can not provide all the effects of AE.
My route would be Vegas ( of course!) > 3-D text generator > and then after LONG HARD thought . . . AE.
Oh BTW, I don't have AE. Do I want it? Oh yes please . . !!!
