Just plug a digital recorder of some description (Mini-disk, DAT recorder) into the mixing desks Output. Just make sure you adjust the recording levels during the sound check, or it could go belly up during the real thing.

Alternatives include getting a wireless transmitter and receiver kit, or just a plain old xlr conection between the cam and mix desk (if you're close enough, and it's safe to use)
