just as a matter of interest which avid product are you referring to..is it the £358 software...
this may be out of my budget for just home movies..
our present stuff was Hi-8 done on a panasonic edit deck with some music and voice over..really amateur and no fades or fancy movements...
my wife would find similar software suitable hence my original stab at ulead studio 11 etc which is suitable...as they say...for vista
