Any halfway experienced marketting department knows how expensive video is, and will not treat you seriously if you offer a lower price. so offering £1.5k will just get them to say "No" but quoting £15k will get them to say "Can we discuss the price?"

I like your style....and I appreciate what you're saying...when we were playing gigs (music) up and down the country our favourite phrase was "If you pay peanuts...you get monkeys"...which is along the same lines....I certainly like the philosophy of pitch higher....and we can talk....although in our niche, I still don't think pitching that high would work.....lol....none of the bands/artists we've worked with have marketing depts...or budgets...we've searched over here and the only options we could find were wedding videographers...who would give it a go...but music isn't their strong point...or the "big boys" who do work for Ch4 etc and quote the really big figures, totally out of the reach of smaller bands and artists

Once again, I can see why they call you The Guru...

Just out of curiosity, anyone else here pitching themselves at our level/price....or have we REALLY got it wrong?
