Default Audio Cuts out on my New Video Camera

Hi,

I recorderd approx 10 Mini DV Tapes of Holidays etc on a JVC 9500-EK Video Camera. Approx 2 Years ago it packed in and I bought a Basic Canon MV 830i. Recently I have started getting interested in creating DVD's etc.

Problem I have is that the audio playback on my new Camera of the film recorded on the old JVC is "jerky" and cuts out every sec or so. I have tried various video editing programs (Adobe Premier / Sony Vegas and Videostudio +) but all are the same ??? I have also tried adjusting all settings on the new Camera (12 Bit / 16 Bit etc etc) but still no Joy ? Audio playback on film recorded on the new Camera is ok.

I thought about buying a new Camera but I don't want to have the same problems again.

Any help or Input to solve this would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
AJ.
