This is probably an easy one for you

I'm currently working on doing a trailer of my own for the movie 'the hills have eyes'
when I'm cutting from shot to shot it looks to Raw.
Is their away to make a basic cut look much better. I tried using the 'Take' option in the transitions and that seems to look much better, however I'm just wondering if theirs a standard transition for this that you guys use?

I hope you get what i mean because when i say 'Raw' I'm not really shore what the technical term is for it!
