Is the picture bad when recorded onto tape or just when you point the camera at something and you see these streaks in the viewfinder and LCD? Do you only see them when you point the camera at bright lights? How old is your camera, has it taken a knock recently or can you hear any strange noises coming from inside it when switched on?
