Hello,

I've had a Canon MV750i Mini DV for a year or so and just got a Philips DVD Recorder with HDD and a Firewire Port. It's time to archive some of my tapes...The instructions for recording from the camcorder to the DVD are pretty simple but the recorder does not seem to be receiving a signal signal down the firewire from the camcorder. It's a brand new firewire 4pin to 4pin. The Canon instruction manual seems to hint that the DV might not be compatible with some devices. Any clues?
