A little too repetitive for me. The best execution of that idea I have ever seen was in an episode of Moonlighting. It started where you did and shot through everything including mass industrialisation, Hitler, the A bomb, racial divisions etc etc etc. A bit of an unfair comparison I guess since you dont have ABC Television behind you. If you added more elements I think it would work better. I do like the close ups you did though. Keep at it!
