Default Demolition of old Voice of America Radio Towers - Munich

Voice of America MW broadcasts ceased from Munich, Germany last year after over 50 years of broadcasting. Last month a wrecking company brought down the large 4 tower antenna system, effectively ending a era of radio history. I filmed the demolition sequence and aftermath of 3 of the towers using a Panasonic DVX100 camera. The natural sound of the towers falling and background noise were captured using the camera's built in microphone.

The video starts with a funeral durge as the wrecking crew clears the area. Then, the first tower slowly collapses under the weight of gravity. The video then fades down, then back up to a scene of destruction set to the music of Willie Nelson's "The Piper Came Today" as the aftermath footage and the fall of the last two remaning towers proceeds on the video.

I have subtitled this a "Sad, Beer Drinkin Music Video"
