Hi all

I use a panasonic Mini DV and have been using Ulead 8 & Premiere for about a year now and am doing ok. A friend bought over his new Video Cam which is a JVC GZ MG50AA(30G Harddrive). It only has USB and bundled Cyberlink Software which is pretty basic editing. My friend would like to use Ulead but it wont recognise this Camera. Premiere has the same problem. Ive read some reviews that say that the software will burn straight to DVD but quality is poor. Ripping the video straight from the camera is the go but the software he want to use dose not work.

Are there any plugins for either software or updates or is he stuck with the bundled software for now. Anyone know a work around other than renaming the files, which by the way removes the Audio for some reason.
The JVC default is a .MOD file.
