I would simply google expression like "sound effects". you'll find loads.

Alternatively, you may want to do as I did. there are loads of CD of sound effects availabel very cheaply from th elikes of ebay. I found a set of 4 CD of sound effect on amazon.co.uk for about £16 UKP. A very reasonable price for building up your library.

Hmm, makes me think. Now I have my 'recorder' I should get out and record my own stuff.
