I would imagine that if Premier is happy to import tiff files then you should have no problem. I suspect that the issues you are facing are due to the size and dpi of the image you are saving.

You never mentioned what resolution you saved your tiff file as. Needless to say, for 'best results' save as the video size you are editing and at 72 dpi.
