Vegas is the best video editing software out there in terms of interface and useability, and is only available for PC. I would consider editing on mac if Vegas was written for Mac also.

Having said this, if at all possible, I prefer to use PC for any kind of work as the mouse accuracy on Macs is appalling. Of course for advanced music production this is barely possible as PC audio production programs are slow, unreliable, and restricted to 1GB RAM as dictated by the windows Kernel. In comparison, those on MAC can use more ram, are faster, and more reliable, hence increasing user productivity and efficiency. It's a case of finding the best way out of a bad bunch.

My PCs however, do not have a firewire port for video capture. (this would have solved the problem, but I am very busy and needed these files converted quickly. I can't be entering into a compatibility battle with new hardware at this point in time).

Thanks for the help Marc.
