I tried using an encoder to convert to .avi but I get the same thing. Is there something else I may be missing? Maybe a problem with my converter? I am using AVS Video Converter. Is there something better out there?

How do I convert to DV format. Is that a special file type or is that just the generic name which includes files like .AVI?
