Using Premiere Pro 1.5, when I insert a high res. digital photo into the movie, the resulting image is Magnified, so that I am only seeing a magnified view of the center of the photo. I have tried to go into the 'effect controls / motion' window and manipulate the scale, and while the image comes down to the right size, alot of the resolution is gone, and the image quality is very low.

I have tried many other things, such as trying to resize the image to 720x480 using a third party software like IRFANVIEW, but the results were a very grainy image.

Any thoughts on what I am not grasping with this?
