Default I'm a n00b. Codec question.

I apoligize before hand, cause I'm a HORRIBLE speller.

Ok, I've been video editing for a while but technical I'm not very experienced. I'm not educated about how codecs work like, at all. I've made some videos, and peeps like them, but I allways get complains on size and/or quality and/or type. I use Premiere 7.0, and just had to reformat, so I have no resent codecs. Is there a good video and/or audio codec bundle out there, and what should I do when it comes to compression? Normally I capture with Virtual Dub at 60 frames (I need 60 frames) and then compress useing Cinepak (I'm not registered with DivX). Then place the files in Premiere and do I editing there, then I believe I export it as a movie.... I not to farmiler with Premiere really, so I don't know what else to do.

The reason I need 60 frames is I'm a fighting gamer, so.....
