If I understand you correctly you want to add the source avi file to the finished DVD as a file on the disc?...

Given that the dvd (unless dual layer) will only hold 4.7gb its very unlikeley you'll fit your finished dvd and the source avi on one disc...

im intrigued why you would want to do this?...other than for backup purposes, I suppose that would be quite useful.
