So it's difficult to mix it with mini dv? But is it still possible?

Because tomorrow I'll shoot for my bestfriend wedding. I will use 2 camcorder if it's not impossible to mix them for editing steps.

Do u know some way to mix it ?Or the way I can change mp2 format to the mini dv format?
