You are wasting your time trying to get mp4 files to work in APE 4. They need to be converted to .avi first and then opened in APE. Look for an mp4 to avi converter, there are lots of freeware converters around if you do a search on Google. MPEGStreamClip1.2 and SUPER(c) are two that come to mind.
